Discover SANIMYOK | Music and art from Chiang Mai
ARTIST JOURNAL — CHIANG MAI
What kind of band is SANIMYOK? If you have discovered their recordings or Japan tours, look too at Chiang Mai, where their music takes shape. This page starts with activities documented in official sources and guides you to songs, photographs and concert archives.

Three places to begin
SANIMYOK is an independent band based in Chiang Mai, northern Thailand. Its name is written “スニムヨック” in Japanese. This website uses both forms so that recordings and live archives can be followed as the work of the same band.
For new listeners, start with “Free Bird,” presenting SANIMYOK's song in Japanese; “น้ำหอม,” recreating Eito's song in Thai; and the Japan tour articles for 2024–2026. Moving between studio collaborations and shared stages reveals the connection between Chiang Mai and Japan.
Alongside the music: Pae's art
A 2023 Tourism Authority of Thailand feature introduces SANIMYOK member Pae. Alongside playing folk, rock, originals and covers mainly around Chiang Mai, he is presented as an artist working in graffiti and painting.
The report visits Dream Space Gallery, where Pae shared a studio on the grounds with fellow artists and helped a friend prepare a solo exhibition. It offers a view of art-making and everyday life with friends beyond the band's activities. This account describes the situation at the time of the 2023 report.
From Japan tour photographs back to the band
The photo articles show different stages and pre-show scenes in Zushi, Toyohashi, Awaji Island, Nittaiji and elsewhere in 2025. Actual photographs that capture a venue's size and the distance to its audience offer a different starting point from record covers or video thumbnails.
2024 | From collaboration to Japan
The year connects the release of the Thai-language “น้ำหอม” with concert announcements for Zushi, Yokohama, Fukui and Osaka. A Japanese song recreated with a Chiang Mai band leads into a journey of shared performances.
2025 | Free Bird and live performances across Japan
The year SANIMYOK's “Free Bird” was released in Japanese. Follow shows and photographs in the annual article, from the Zushi stage and Toyohashi preparations to Awaji Island, Tokushima and Nittaiji.
2026 | Jan in spring, the band in autumn
Jan and Eito in spring; SANIMYOK and Eito in autumn. The archive distinguishes the billing and presents spring photographs at FM Yokohama separately from autumn concert announcements.
Listen to the recordings
“Free Bird” has a Thai original and a Japanese version; “น้ำหอม” recreates “Kousui” in Thai. The collaborations page gathers official music videos and production sources. The third song, “JaiYenYen,” is unreleased; its release date and streaming platforms will be announced once confirmed.
