About SANIMYOK
SANIMYOK is a rock and roll band from Chiang Mai in northern Thailand, active since 2012. They began covering punk bands and playing around the city in high school, then broadened their musical influences while studying art at university. Their blues-rooted live shows bring together extended guitar solos and improvisation. The name refers to the green rust found on old amulets.
From Chiang Mai to stages at home and abroad
Releases include the EPs SLIDE & ROLL and OUR SONG, and JAPAN EDITION. Alongside performances across Thailand, the band’s proposal records a China tour in 2017, shows in Tokyo and Sendai in 2018, and Osaka in 2023. SANIMYOK
SANIMYOK is an independent band from Chiang Mai in northern Thailand. Rooted in rock and blues, their live performances feature extended guitar solos and improvisation. The name comes from the “green rust” found on old amulets. Their roots also extend into visual art and art galleries.
The band toured Japan in 2018 and 2024. In 2025, they released the Japanese version of “Free Bird” in collaboration with Eito. Together with their musical friends, they continue to connect Chiang Mai and Japan across borders.
